Another Tailgate is scheduled for April 22nd AThe University of Utah Utes come to town for a weekend series and it’s Tailgate Time at 4:00 P.M. Saturday ahead of a 6:00 P.M. first pitch. We’ll be back on familiar ground at the usual Ramada 31 for the rest of the home-season Saturdays What to bring Our hosts this time are Karla & Darrin Kaiser and Sandy and Tod Sallay. They’ll be preparing pollo asada and carne asada tacos with the fixings and refried beans on the side. They suggest your contributions of guacamole, salsa, rice, salad, desserts and tortilla chips. A reminder that if making or buying something for the table is inconvenient, there’s also a donation dish to help with expenses. We have a beer & wine license (our license, your beverage) and you are welcome to bring some of that to share, too. We’ve got the paper goods and utensils covered. How it works Before every Saturday home game a host or host family or group provides the main course and the rest of us pitch in to fill up the buffet table. Those who feel uncomfortable bringing something from the kitchen or store will find a donation dish on the food line. Being there is more important than what you bring. Plates, napkins, utensils, cups, tablecloths, etc. will be provided for all tailgates. Our official starting times are 2 hours before game time, but feel free to come early and help with setup! We usually start setting up about 45 minutes early. Get added to the mailing list If you or someone you know would like to be added to the mailing list for next year, just get an email to johnpevear@cox.net We can then get them added to the list. Emails will go out each week, a reminder of the time, and suggestions on what to bring, based on the menu for the week. Schedule The schedule is listed below, based on the official UofA schedule. If that changes, always remember the tailgates start 2 hours before each Saturday home game. If you want to sign up to host an available weekend, let Harry Patton know!
